Merry Christmas from The Grand Duchy of Stollen!!!

A bit late, but still almost three hours of Christmas Day left here at Totliegh-in-the-Wold.  I hope everyone had a calm and peaceful day of family, friends, delicious food, and perhaps a few moments for quiet reflection. We've had snow here and went tobogganing and cross-country skiing for a couple of hours during the latter half of the afternoon before a goose dinner here at home.  Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Where does one find a goose to cook these days?

Jim
Thank you, men! Jim, the Grand Duchess managed to scare up a frozen 8 pdr. female goose ("hen"?) several days before Christmas Eve (when we have our big dinner). Just the right size for the three of us. It was actually much tastier than any goose I've had in the past, and as I say the Young Master really liked it, and he is an extremely picky eater, so I suspect we'll have Christmas Goose from now on.

Happy Christmas Week,

Stokes

(P.S. I can't imagine who that chap in red is supposed to be. Doesn't look right at all...)
