And here's a solo shot of the dastardly Colonel Von Cranz! You can see where I wrestled with "clumping" of the Ral Partha acrylic white paint on his steed's neck, just above the reins. I should have used thinner washes rather than a single coat of paint. That's what I get for hurrying along. Ah well, a coat of Future floor polish should visually smooth that out when I apply it my favorite clear protective coat. In general though, Von Cranz not at all bad for an unlikable guy.
Here's a picture illustrating my (S-L-O-W) progress with the second company of Stollen's Leib (Grand Duchess Sonja's Own) Grenadiers. You can see I'm doing things a bit differently this time, altering the painting process to keep it interesting basically. This evening, I'll do the white gaiters and, if that goes reasonably quickly, and time allows, the red breeches. Still lots to do, but I like the way these fine fellows are shaping up along side the completed 1st company that's standing in formation just off camera, to the left here. Until tonight then!

All that I see is some of the steed's lather from being ridden hard by the "dastardly Colonel von Cranz".
After all, the colonel is not known for being kind to man, woman or beast . . . so obviously that is lather on the horse.
