A t m id-morning on 4th August 1773, as the mists cleared along the River Elbow separating the Grand Duchy of Stollen and the Electorate of Zichenau, a Stollenian cavalry patrol spotted a large mass of enemy troops setting up camp in the distance beyond the opposite bank.
