Meanwhile. . .

All ready for some limited terrain features (sand and grass), and then it's time to start those six Prussian limbers.

Meanwhile, I buckled down this afternoon and finished applying two coats of acrylic gloss varnish to those six Austrian limber teams, which are now all finished with the exception of the bases, but these usually go pretty quickly.  Whew!

On a related note, the last month of summer is always a bittersweet time.  On the one hand, it's sad that considerable free and largely unstructured time is coming to a close.  Yet, I find myself looking forward to new classes, faces, and certain professional commitments though by no means all of them.  Only three weeks until classes resume on the 31st.  Let's see how far I can get with those Prussian limber teams before free time evaporates.

Very nice they look too Stokes.
Ever since I've worked in the fish industry I've always disliked the summer and look forward to colder days too come. Sad i know but I never see much of the summer sun as it is so don't really miss it that much. Now if i wasn't working it would be a different story.
