Enemy Troops Rumored to Be on the March against Grand Duchy of Stollen

Krankenstadt, The Grand Duchy of Stollen, 25 June 1770 -- Rumors have come into the capital in recent days, from farmers and villagers living close to the Zichenauer frontier, that troops belonging to the Electorate of Zichenau are on the move in the area. Indeed, postal coaches to and from the region have confirmed the gossip as fact in more than one instance. Is an invasion of the Grand Duchy of Stollen afoot? At the present time, it may be too soon to tell, but tongues are wagging in the streets and salons of the city this morning.

Government of the Grand Duchy Schedules Series of Emergency Talks

And how might the Stollenian government deal with the threat? That too remains to be seen, though the Grand Duke Irwin-Amadeus II will meet with his ministers and highest ranking officers throughout the next few days to discuss possible courses of action.

Stollenian Generals Caught Off Guard

In any event, the Stollenian army finds itself widely dispersed in penny packets around the grand duchy this summer despite the fact that we are now in the midst of high campaigning season. While the Leib (Grand Duchess Sonja's Own) Grenadiers maintain a presence within Krankenstadt year round, due to that regiment's guard status, the rest of the army does not and must be recalled to the colors should the need arise. Official couriers have been dispatched to the various garrison commanders in the northern, southern, and eastern reaches of Stollen, to assemble their disparate squadrons and companies and march them forthwith to Krankenstadt.

Army to Reassemble for First Time This Year to Face Possible Zichenauer Invasion

While no further information is forthcoming at this time, the situation could change at any minute. Be sure to purchase the evening edition of Die Krankestadt Tageblat for the latest updates on the Zichenauer threat to southwestern Stollen.

Trouble in the wind? If it comes to war, here's hoping Stollen's woeful record improves markedly.

We await with baited breath the unfolding drama !.

Fantastic news - a great chance to test the general staff, sort the soft from the hard and as we say in Herrschaden: "Enjoy your war, it wont last forever"...
