Newsflash! For those of you in search of the Revell 1/72 plastic figure sets, I recently stumbled onto a link to a German hobby retailer -- Kai Fuhrmann Figuren und Zubehoer -- who seems to have Austrian artillery, dragoon, and infantry sets as well as the Prussian infantry set.
Given the scarcity of the first and second sets, it might be worth paying the price in Euros for the desired set(s) and shipping/handling charges. I've found that these same sets on Ebay are often priced awfully high. Or you have to wait around and play a bidding war, only to lose out to someone with deeper pockets in the last minute before the auction closes. At any rate, have a look here: http://www.fuhrmann-figuren-shop.de/.
Don't shy away from the German language site! Look around on the left side of the page. You'll see a link each to Fridizianische Zeit. Right below that, you'll see Preussen and Oestereich. Click on the one you want, and then click on Plastikfiguren. Presto! Now, I have no idea how many sets they might have in stock, but it's worth a look, and these are awfully nice sets. . . Some of you will know already that I have scrounged quite a few myself. . . more than enough to keep me busy for a long time. So, you other Revell enthusiasts out there should have a look and (maybe) add to your pile of plastc! Ok, that's my good deed for the day. Back to the painting desk!

In order to minimise the postal charges I've asked a friend with family in Germany to contact this company to make enquiries on the dragoons. I have enough of the others but still no hussars. The latest e-bay batch I was following (in Germany!)reached 25 euros which is approx £17 per box and thats before postage. In extremis I will use the Hat 1806 new Prussian hussar figures but I know as soon as I buy them, Revell will re-issue them!
