Just a quick note to let you know that I’ve placed the text for my planned Tactical Chance Cards in the appropriate section “Files” over at Old School Wargaming. I'm going to try to use the picture above on the backside of the cards and protect both sides with clear contact paper or something to provide a bit more sturdiness. Anyway, have a look if you’d like. Click on the link below and then go to the files section, scrolling down to "Tactical Chance Cards.doc" or "Tactical Chance Cards.rtf".

Enjoy messing around with these, or adding to them, to suit your own particular horse and musket visions. I'm interested to learn what you come up with.
Finally, The Indras spent two rocking' hours practicing a couple of new songs and running through some older ones this evening. Read all about it at The Indras blog at:

These cards are really useful. Thanks for posting them. One or two are rather drastic, though, don't you think? The game could end in turn 1 if a thunderstorm occurs (but, then, that's something for the blog, I suppose).
I won't have chance for a game I can use them in just yet, but will let you know when I do. Maybe we should all be adding to this list as new ideas come along, for collective use.
regards
Noel
Drastic? Oh, yes! I tried to think of my military history as I was dreaming these up. Many are based on battles like the Waterloo campaign and the Battle of Balaklava, where things like thunderstorms, sunken roads, personality conflicts, and miscommunication caused terrible messes that (other) commanders had to deal with. Please feel free to add some slightly more upbeat events to this list. ;-)
Hi Murdock,
I've just sent you the file in RTF. Let me know if it opens up for you.
Best Regards,
Stokes

I don't know how it would compare price-wise with laminating, but does have the advatange of being able to switch cards out.
As it is now, it is rather clunky going to your site and then having to type in the address of other sites in my grand tour of blogs each day. Virtually all of the other blogs have links of some kind. This would make yours a little more user friendly.
