These last much longer in my experience, and are easy to unclog by sticking a paper clip or similar bit of stiff wire down the spout.
Two I have used are Great Planes Pro CA and Kwik Bond CA. Both also come in different "thicknesses" (thin, gap-filling, etc.) and "speeds" (quick-drying, longer drying), and you can also get stuff to speed up the drying time (although I've not used or needed that so far).Fitz-Badgerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15510866929782142007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33020106.post-58216030087659188982010-11-27T10:51:35.005-06:002010-11-27T10:51:35.005-06:00Ah, cognac! I think I'll take a walk over to the Dollar Store later this afternoon and see what they have in the way of superglue. It's very close. Loctite 401, eh? I'll look for it in the better stores here.

Best Regards,

StokesWSTKS-FM Worldwidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14173042438761572040noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33020106.post-26228163913184648012010-11-27T09:16:42.771-06:002010-11-27T09:16:42.771-06:00fiddlesticks !

Infuriating. You have to remember that...Absolutely. Infuriating. You have to remember that the glue hides, solidifies, leaks etc DELIBERATELY. You must always punish it - stamp on it, throw it about, shout at it. This is a war situation - don't let them get away with it.

Also, I have it on good authority that superglue is not what it used to be - the makers have weakened the recipe to reduce risk of injury and damage to the environment. So, like weedkillers, exterior paint, cleaning materials and so on, it doesn't work very well any more.

I find that cognac still works, but not to stick soldiers.

TonyMSFoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14470241067504971068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33020106.post-23204619712831599162010-11-26T21:57:59.185-06:002010-11-26T21:57:59.185-06:00As frustrating as that is Stokes, I'm glad tha...As frustrating as that is Stokes, I'm glad that I'm not the only person it seems to happen to with alarming frequency.
