Spencer Smith figures do not have the high level of detail that we have become used to with modern lines like Old Glory or Foundry for example. They are rather more stylized in form, leaving painters free to add or leave out as much detail as they would like.

What is especially attractive about SSM figures is that their proportions are correct -- no tree stump legs, baseball mit hands, pumpkin-sized heads, or deep, craggy folds in garments. Instead, you have figures that look like miniature people and horses. Frankly, that's what I'm after with this project.

Best Regards,

StokesWSTKS-FM Worldwidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14173042438761572040noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33020106.post-27188755635981133432007-12-11T15:32:00.000-06:002007-12-11T15:32:00.000-06:00Are these miscasts?Are these miscasts?peterfarmer57https://www.blogger.com/profile/11496979478669274761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33020106.post-70299760544463958692007-12-09T09:41:00.000-06:002007-12-09T09:41:00.000-06:00Ooh, I sounds like a wonderful day . . . hope the ...Ooh, I sounds like a wonderful day . . . hope the evening gathering goes as well.

I'm up very early (for me) and it seems like we got an unexpected dusting of snow overnight. Should be a nice day today here too.

-- JeffBluebear Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07595975572873838050noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33020106.post-48637205860580243192007-12-09T09:22:00.000-06:002007-12-09T09:22:00.000-06:00Sounds a super day - often the simplest are the be...Sounds a super day - often the simplest are the best! It increases my respect for those of you achieving such wonderful and even detailed-looking paint jobs!

(and you don't have to deal with the issue of what to do with separate riders and mounts! lol)Fitz-Badgerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15510866929782142007noreply@blogger.com
